Overview

We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing exceptional patient service, and supporting the administrative functions of the office. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining a welcoming environment for patients. Candidates with dental office experience and proficiency in electronic records are highly preferred. Strong communication skills and familiarity with office management software such as Cleardent is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage check-in/check-out procedures
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Dentrix or similar practice management software
  • Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally
  • Verify patient insurance information and process payments accurately
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and update patient information as needed
  • Manage correspondence, including emails and mail, related to patient care and administrative tasks
  • Assist with administrative duties such as filing, faxing, and data entry
  • Support the team with general office organization to ensure a smooth workflow
  • Handle patient inquiries professionally, providing excellent customer service at all times

Experience

  • Previous experience as a dental receptionist (minimum of 1 year)
  • Knowledge of dental terminology relevant to dental practice is advantageous
  • Experience working with electronic medical records systems is beneficial
  • Strong office experience including managing multi-line phone systems, front desk operations, and administrative support roles
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanor
