What You'll Be Doing:

As a valued member of our Recreation team, you'll bring energy, creativity, and compassion to every day. You'll design and deliver engaging recreation and leisure programs that inspire joy, connection, and purpose for our residents—both one-on-one and in group settings.

You will:

  • Assess residents' individual needs and interests to create personalized therapeutic recreation plans that enhance well-being and quality of life.
  • Facilitate meaningful activities that promote physical, emotional, and social engagement.
  • Monitor progress and celebrate achievements, adapting plans as needed to ensure continued success.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, community partners, and recreation groups to ensure a holistic, person-centered approach to care.
  • Contribute your expertise to ongoing quality initiatives, team meetings, research, and educational opportunities that strengthen our recreation services.

Position Highlights:

  • Relief Part Time (0.80 FTE) – Enjoy a balanced schedule with Tuesday to Friday day shifts (07:30 to 15:30).

  • Graduation from a recognized diploma or degree program in Recreational Therapy plus two years recent related experience.

  • Eligible for professional membership with the B.C. Therapeutic Recreation Association (BCTRA).

  • Current valid BC driver's license.
