Peterborough Police Service is accepting applications from candidates who are currently

serving as police officers and military officers. Candidate must have completed a period

of probation pursuant to Section 84(1) of the Community Safety and Policing Act.

Experienced Constable Recruitment:

The Recruitment process for Experienced Constables will consist of several steps

including: interviews; psychological testing; medical examination; and background

checks. Candidates must successfully pass through all steps of the recruitment process

in order to proceed to each consecutive step. Those who succeed will be advised to

proceed to the next phase.

To apply Candidates must submit the following:

  • Detailed Covering Letter and Resume
  • Proof of successful completion of Grade 12 (High School Transcript) or equivalent by the Ministry of Education
  • College or university diploma and transcript, any continuing education documentation or course certificates
  • O.P.C. marks
  • Current First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
  • Photocopy of drivers licence
  • Proof of current fitness test i.e. PIN
  • Performance evaluations – last 3 years
  • Commendation letters
  • List of volunteer work
  • Reference letters; list of work related references

NOTE: CANDIDATES MUST BE AVAILABLE AND WILLING TO WORK ALL SHIFTS WITHIN 24 HOUR

PERIOD INCLUDING WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS.
