Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and support the overall health and well-being of our patients. Duties

  • Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
  • Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental management software
  • Manage patient scheduling, follow-up appointments, and treatment plans
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient concerns and ensuring a comfortable experience
  • Support pediatric patients with gentle care tailored to their needs
  • Assist with orthodontic procedures when necessary, including appliance adjustments and patient education
  • Maintain a sterile environment by following infection control protocols

Requirements

  • Valid Dental Hygienist license in good standing
  • New grads are welcome.
  • Experience with Dentrix or similar dental office management software is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
  • Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse patient populations
  • Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred
  • Dental assisting experience is advantageous but not required
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $39.10-$47.00 per hour
