Clear Sky Enterprise Ltd is looking for a Full-time Heavy Duty/Commercial Transport Mechanic in Vanderhoof, BC.

Must have experience with commercial truck and trailers, preferably logging trucks.

This position involves inspecting, diagnosing, electrical repairing, and maintaining a Fleet of Logging Trucks and trailers.

We currently have two commercial transport apprentices.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in commercial trucks, including engines, transmissions, braking systems and wiring trouble shooting using diagnostic tools and techniques.

Perform repairs and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of commercial trucks, including engine overhauls, brake adjustments, and suspension repairs.

Replace faulty components with genuine or compatible parts to maintain the functionality and performance of trucks and trailers.

Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used, work orders and facilitate efficient workflow

Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks, share knowledge, and deliver exceptional service to fleet manager and drivers.

Must meet deadlines for inspections

Must be Highly organize and keep a clean shop, restock parts as needed

Must be able to work around the trucks as they are on shift work

(Mornings/afternoons and evening hours )

Must be able to do service calls when needed, answer phone calls and dispatch team to do repairs as needed.

Communicate and consult with the Manager and other teammates, drivers as needed.

Qualifications

Certificate, red seal preferred but (not required).

5- 10 year experience on trucks and trailers is asset.

Knowledge of Cummins engine is an asset

BC Class 5 driver's license (Class 3 with air brakes or Class 1 is considered an asset)

Must have own tools

Mechanically inclined with a strong aptitude for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance

Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, detailed, ability to lead a team

Ability to work in a physical capacity including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift

Use of computerized scanning equipment, able to use digital technology/mechanical software

Job Type: Full-time
