Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving food items. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food industry operations, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cashiering, and food safety standards.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of food items according to established recipes and standards
  • Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
  • Greet customers promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience
  • Manage cash register transactions accurately, including handling cash and credit card payments
  • Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, adhering to food safety regulations
  • Restock supplies and ensure all food items are properly stored and labeled
  • Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff when necessary
  • Manage time effectively during busy hours to serve customers efficiently without compromising quality

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
  • Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Experience with food preparation, serving, cashiering, and upselling techniques is desirable
  • Prior kitchen or food industry experience is beneficial but not mandatory
