Summary Of Duties, But Not Limited To
- Performs Doppler Echocardiography, Stress Echo (exercise and dobutamine), Echo Contrast testing in a busy ambulatory setting
- Acts as an advocate for safety and demonstrate principles, practices and processes that will optimize a safe environment for all
- Maintains accurate, complete electronic patient demographics and charts
- Communicate with hospital staff and other team members to ensure seamless patient care
- Prepares and ensures proper set up of examination rooms, equipment, supplies, applicable consent forms and related details associated with the reason of the patient encounter
- Ensures delivery of excellent customer service
- Assist with quality improvement projects as requested

Qualifications
- Current registration with College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO) required
- Certification from a program accredited by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or CARDUP/CSDMS – the Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers required
- 1-2 years Cardiac ultrasound experience with strong Stress Echo, Contrast, and Saline study skills are required
- Current BCLS training
- Certificate & competency in IV insertion, an asset
- Experience as a registered cardiac sonographer; specializing in adult echocardiography
- Must have a good understanding of the principles of Women's Health and their impact on cardiac testing
- Experience with GE Vivid E9 and GE Reporting system an asset
- Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Organized and self-motivated
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently
- Experience in an ambulatory setting an asset
- Proven attendance and punctuality.
- Professional behaviour and communication that meets the standards of the professional regulatory college or association, as applicable, and the standards of Women's College Hospital
- This position plays a critical role in acting as an advocate for safety and will demonstrate principles, practices and processes that will optimize a safe environment for all
