Job Summary
We are seeking a Secretary/Bookkeeper to join our team. This role involves managing administrative duties alongside maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will be organized, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. They will have experience with QuickBooks (Online and Desktop) and possess strong skills in bookkeeping and payroll. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth daily operations and accurate record-keeping within the team.
Hours typically worked are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. On occasion, management may extend office hours to meet demands and timelines - example: payroll processing.
We offer higher-than-average wages for our area. Wage will be discussed during the interview.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable (QuickBooks)
- Process payroll accurately and on time (QuickBooks)
- Post and track statistical data
- Perform general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and document management, answering phones
- Assist with social media content updates
- Provide administrative assistance to upper management
- General office support
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong accounting knowledge
- Accurate data entry skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication, and active listening skills
- Demonstrate flexibility by changing routine when needed
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Ability to maintain professional conduct at all times in the workplace
- Knowledge of OpenInvoice is an asset
