About the Position:

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Machine Operator will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Efficient and accurate operation of Walters machines.
  • Studies work orders and interpret blueprints to determine bevel requirements.
  • Ensures dimensional accuracies and tolerances.
  • Maintain accurate records of the machine and ensure all required paperwork is completed correctly.
  • Troubleshoots machine problems working with maintenance when required.
  • Performs routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
  • Runs machine in accordance with Walters safe work practices and procedures.
  • Ensures all tools/equipment and machines are operated with care.

Work Location:

  • Hamilton Facility.

Position Requirements:

  • Previous experience operating steel processing equipment (saw, cutters etc.)
  • Overhead crane operation experience a strong asset.
  • Ability to read a tape measure in both imperial and metric system.
  • Strong focus on health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Able to multi task and keep accurate records of processed material.
  • Able to work well in a team but also autonomously.

Compensation Package:

  • Wage: $23.00-$30.00/Hour
  • Vacation.
