The Fantasia Academy of Music is looking for a voice/piano instructor, who can ideally also teach other instruments. However, the ability to teach additional instruments is not a requirement.

Qualifications:

  • ARCT Diploma or post-secondary music education
  • Minimum 1 year teaching experience
  • Patient and kind with students
  • Can travel to students' locations
  • Experience or knowledge of teaching online (e.g. through Zoom)
  • Responsible and punctual

Assets:

  • Can teach other instruments (especially piano)
  • Bilingual/multi-lingual - can teach in a language other than English
  • Experience teaching adults as well as children

In-person lessons are taught at students' locations or the teacher's location, depending on student preference. Therefore, the teacher should have access to a car or another reliable form of transportation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Burnaby, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
