About the Role
IWG is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Buyer to lead strategic and operational procurement activities within our AS9100-regulated aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing key suppliers, negotiating contracts, supporting long-term sourcing strategies, and ensuring alignment across Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and Quality teams.
What You'll Do
Lead procurement activities for assigned commodities, materials, and services.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers in accordance with AS9100 and internal requirements.
Manage supplier performance, including scorecards and corrective actions.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs to support sourcing decisions.
Monitor market trends, risks, and cost drivers for sourcing strategy improvements.
Resolve escalated supply issues, delivery delays, and quality concerns.
Collaborate with Engineering and Quality on design changes and documentation updates.
Maintain accurate supplier data, contracts, and purchasing records within ERP/MRP systems.
Mentor and support Junior Buyers to strengthen procurement practices.
Lead or support cost-reduction and supply chain improvement initiatives.
What You Bring
Diploma or bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, or related field.
5+ years of procurement experience in aerospace, aviation, or complex manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of AS9100 or ISO9001 quality systems and documentation requirements.
Experience negotiating contracts, pricing, and supplier agreements.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, Infor, etc.).
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data.
Strong problem‑solving, communication, and supplier relationship management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

SCMP, CPSM, APICS, or other supply chain certifications.
