Overview
Arena Medical Clinic, a brand-new clinic, is looking to hire multiple full-time family physicians. The clinic is a hybrid walk-in/family practice and offers vaccinations. The space has 10 exam rooms for at least five physicians to work out of. Each exam room is equipped with a computer, cabinets, sinks, and a locker and will function as a private office for physicians. Exam rooms can be used for paperwork, patient calls (virtual), and other tasks. Each physician will have access to 2 exam rooms. There will be a dedicated break room and a separate washroom available for staff. The patient population will be full-spectrum. Bookings can be made on the website for in-person and virtual appointments, as well as at the clinic for walk-in appointments. Given the populated area, each physician can expect to see 40-50 patients per day, including both in-person and virtual appointments.

Remuneration: 75/25
Hours: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Mondays to Fridays
Duties
- Assess and treat patients presenting with acute medical conditions, injuries, or illnesses
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including history-taking and physical examinations
- Administer medications, including pain management and other necessary treatments
- Document clinical findings accurately using electronic health record systems (Accuro EMR)
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care
- Manage pediatric cases as needed, ensuring appropriate pediatric care standards are met
- Assist in the development of protocols for home care or outpatient follow-up when applicable
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards at all times
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution with active licensure as a physician
- Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC)
- comfortable working in a team-based clinic setting
- Experience with electronic health records systems; Accuro EMR is preferred
- Ability to perform medication administration accurately and efficiently
- Familiarity with pediatric patient care and home care procedures is advantageous
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations
- Prior experience in medical office settings or in managing medical documentation is beneficial.
