Job Summary

The Equipment Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing various types of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. This position requires a blend of mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment operation and a strong understanding of mechanical systems.

Duties

  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed, including welding and assembly tasks.
  • Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely while adhering to company policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to assemble new equipment and prepare it for delivery.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding equipment performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.
  • Assist in the training of junior technicians on best practices for equipment maintenance.

Skills

  • Proficient in welding techniques and mechanical repairs.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various equipment issues.
  • Experience in heavy equipment operation, including familiarity with dealership processes.
  • Ability to dig, assemble, and operate HVAC systems effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license may be required for operating company vehicles.

This role is essential for ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently, providing support to both internal teams and customers alike.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour

  • Journey Person or Red Seal Certificate (preferred)
