Senior Business Analyst

Overview

Green PI Inc. is presently looking to provide a Senior Business Analyst for its client. The Senior Business Analyst will support a Business Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Implementation initiative, working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to identify, design, and deliver AI-enabled and automated solutions.

This is a part-time contract opportunity for an initial six (6) month term, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and project requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business units to understand current processes and identify opportunities for automation and AI integration.
• Gather, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements including drafting end-end business workflow for Child welfare services in CAS Ottawa and for AI-driven workflows, bots, and applications.
• Work with technical teams to ensure requirements align with Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, and Copilot AI capabilities.
• Develop process maps, user stories, and acceptance criteria for new solutions.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to define scope and priorities.
• Support testing and validation of developed solutions, including test case creation/ scenarios to ensure they meet business needs.
• Assist in change management and user adoption strategies for AI-enabled tools.
• Prepare status reports, business cases, and impact assessments as required.

Requirements

The potential candidate must possess the following:

• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a Business Analyst;
• A minimum of six (6) years of experience supporting business process automation and/or digital transformation initiatives;
• One (1) to two (2) years of hands-on experience working on AI-related solutions
• Strong understanding of Microsoft technologies, including: Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), SharePoint Online, Microsoft Copilot.
• Demonstrated experience in requirements elicitation, workflow design, documentation, and stakeholder management;
• Experience working in agile delivery environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders; and
• Willingness and ability to work on-site as required in a hybrid environment.

The following qualifications are considered assets:

• Experience with AI-driven solutions and Microsoft Azure services.
• Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and security considerations.
• Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP) or Microsoft Power Platform is an asset.
• Prior experience supporting public sector or social services organizations.

Work Remotely: Hybrid position

Contract length: Six months from start date

Working Schedule: Part-time; up to 20 hrs a week.
