We are looking for a
Control-M Administrator
to join one of our clients.

Context

As part of the Technology & Operations teams, the Control-M Administrator will support all aspects of the Control-M environment, ensuring stability, modernization, and continuous improvement of batch scheduling services. The role includes handling escalated incidents, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing proactive changes based on business and operational needs. The candidate will act as a technical reference within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, implement, and support complex Control-M batch streams.
  • Modernize the Control-M infrastructure, including Integrations and Automation API.
  • Analyze business requirements and design appropriate technical solutions.
  • Test and validate all changes to the Control-M environment.
  • Ensure quality standards throughout release cycles.
  • Handle incidents (P1–P4), escalating to management or vendors when necessary.
  • Perform thorough root cause analysis for major incidents and contribute to proactive problem management.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external third parties for change implementation.
  • Follow policies and procedures related to Incident, Problem, and Change Management (ITIL/IPC).
  • Ensure service performance meets expected SLAs and quality standards.

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum
    5 years
    of relevant experience in Control-M administration.

Technical Environment & Required Skills

Control-M Expertise

  • Solid understanding of Control-M architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with
    Control-M v9.20 and v9.21
    installation, configuration, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience working on multiple Control-M releases and at least one migration project.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems.

Control-M Functional & Advanced Components

  • Control-M Agent / Advanced File Transfer (AFT) / Managed File Transfer (MFT) installation & configuration
  • Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
  • UNIX/Linux (current releases)
  • Control-M Automation API
  • Agent parameters
  • Control-M Configuration Manager
  • Calendar creation & updates
  • Folder creation & updates
  • Job creation, updates, ordering, and conditions management
  • Quantitative resources
  • AFT profile components & AFT job configuration
  • Control-M security
  • Job Loader, User Daily, Forecast Server
  • Import/export of folders between environments
  • Mass find/update on folders

Additional Technical Knowledge

  • Experience interacting with
    BMC Support (Level 4)
    .
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of
    ITIL
    processes (Incident, Problem, Change).
  • Understanding of other file transfer tools (preferred):
