– Your missions

Join the engineering and construction team delivering the
Small Modular Reactor (SMR) Project at Darlington
, one of Canada's most strategic clean energy initiatives. This greenfield project represents a new generation of modular nuclear facilities — setting new standards in safety, reliability, and sustainability.

As an
Electrical & Instrumentation/Control Engineer
on site at Darlington, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation and integration of I&C and electrical systems during construction and commissioning.

You will act as the
technical interface between design and field execution
, managing
Design Change Requests (DCRs)
, resolving design issues on site, and ensuring technical compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

• Provide
  technical support and engineering expertise on site
  for electrical and I&C systems during installation and commissioning.
• Manage and process Design Change Requests (DCRs)
  and field design issues — liaising with design engineering teams to develop and implement practical solutions.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure field implementation aligns with design intent.
• Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, and field coordination for electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Participate in construction walkdowns, inspections, and system handover activities.
• Collaborate closely with construction, commissioning, and design teams to ensure timely resolution of technical queries.
• Verify equipment installation, cable routing, and instrumentation configuration meet design and code requirements.

3 – Who You Are

• 15+ years of experience
  in
  Electrical or Instrumentation & Control engineering
  for industrial projects.
• Strong
  field/site experience
  in system installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Greenfield (new build) project experience
  strongly preferred.
• Experience in
  industrial sectors
  such as nuclear, oil & gas, mining, or large-scale power generation.
• Solid
  design background
  , able to interpret engineering drawings and contribute to design modifications on site.
• Demonstrated ability to handle
  Design Change Requests
  and interface effectively between site and design offices.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Control Systems, or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of Canadian or international electrical standards.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills in a multidisciplinary team environment.
