About MistyWestMistyWest is a hardware engineering consultancy that exists to create novel technologies that enable a healthier planet and bring prosperity to all humankind, with a focus primarily on hardware projects that advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals.About the RoleAt MistyWest, the Project Manager(12-18 month contract) leads all phases of complex projects, managing resources, budgets, schedules, and risks to deliver successful outcomes. You'll work closely with clients to translate their needs into clear requirements and guide multidisciplinary teams through product development and research across diverse industries. You'll also contribute to improving our project management practices for continued growth and excellence.AccountabilitiesLead and deliver medium to large, complex projects on time and within budgetSupports the technical project lead to define project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource plans Coordinate and manage engineering teams and procurement activitiesMaintain transparent communication with clients and internal stakeholdersMonitor project performance against key metrics and ensure compliance with standardsDevelop project strategies aligned with client goals and drive continuous improvementMentor junior team members and foster collaboration across teamsRequirementsRequirementsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field5+ years of project management experience in an engineering company (preferably a hardware product development)Multidisciplinary technical background is a plusExperience managing cross-functional teams (up to 10 people)Previous experience with contract manufacturers and regulatory bodies, particularly in the automotive or medical industriesExperience in product, electronics, or mechanical developmentPrevious experience delivering >1,000 units in a production environmentProject Management SkillsStrong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Kanban, Waterfall)Knowledge of risk and change management techniquesProficiency in project management tools (Smartsheet, Asana, Jira)PMP certification or Certified Scrum Master is a plusCompetencies & Soft SkillsExceptional communication skills to foster integrity, transparency, and trustStrong leadership competency and ability to manage teams effectivelyExcellent organizational and time management skillsCurious and eager to learn, with a continuous improvement mindsetWillingness to travel across North America as required
