Job Summary
Our Chantler's Environmental Services brand is seeking a dependable and hands-on Repair Technician to join either our Grimsby or Hillsburgh team. In this role, you will repair and maintain Chantler's fleet of heated units at customer locations. This is an active, practical position suited for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with their hands, driving from site to site, and taking pride in quality workmanship. Full training is provided—no prior toilet repair experience required.
What You'll Do
- Travel to customer sites to perform on-site repairs of portable toilets and washroom trailers
- Troubleshoot issues and complete general repairs following company training and guidelines
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure units remain safe, reliable, and ready for service
- Inspect equipment and communicate additional repair needs to dispatch or management
- Maintain accurate repair and service documentation
- Conduct routine pre- and post-trip inspections of company vehicle and tools
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Maintain a clean, organized vehicle, tools, and work area
What You Bring
- Valid Ontario G Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Work experience with electrical, plumbing, or general repairs
- Troubleshooting skills to quickly identify issues and determine the necessary action
- Strong mechanical aptitude or hands-on repair experience
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing tasks that involve bending, crouching, and outdoor work
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing needs
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Able to be based in either Grimsby,ON or Hillsburgh, ON
