Chief Engineering Officer
, you will play a mission-critical role in
driving technical excellence, execution precision, and next-generation product innovation across our aerospace and defence programs
.
This is a deeply technical, highly influential leadership role where you will guide multidisciplinary engineering teams, shape advanced hardware architectures, and champion engineering maturity in a fast-paced, hardware-centric environment. - Drive engineering execution across all disciplines:
Lead electrical, mechanical, firmware, software, FPGA, and systems teams to deliver mission-critical aerospace and defence solutions - Set technical direction for advanced hardware platforms:
Guide board-level, FPGA-centric, GPU-based, and high-speed digital designs from concept through production - Elevate engineering processes for world-class quality:
Strengthen design reviews, verification workflows, configuration management, and structured engineering practices aligned with AS9100D, DO-254, DO-160, and SOSA/MOSA standards - Architect high-bandwidth systems:
Oversee integration of PCIe 4 and 5, next-gen memory technologies including DDR5 and GDDR7, multi-gigabit transceivers, and complex SoC architectures - Champion cross-functional collaboration:
Partner with Operations and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure DfX, manufacturability, reliability, and efficient product release - Mentor and develop technical leaders:
Build organizational depth by guiding senior engineering managers, accelerating capability growth, and shaping a high-performing technical culture - Advance innovation initiatives:
Support digital engineering, model-based verification, automated testing, and modern CI/CD practices for firmware and FPGA teams - Represent WOLF in the ecosystem:
Engage with aerospace primes, system integrators, semiconductor partners, and standards bodies to ensure our solutions meet evolving mission demands

You hold a
Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace
, or a closely related engineering field, and bring
12+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-speed digital hardware, HPEC architectures, FPGA or SoC design, embedded systems
, and
ruggedized electronics
for
aerospace and defence
.
You have led complex engineering programs from concept to production, guiding multidisciplinary teams through
advanced board design
,
GPU
and
accelerator integration
,
high-bandwidth architectures
, and
system-level engineering
that meets stringent mission-critical standards. Your background includes
video processing pipelines
and
high-speed interfaces
such as VPX, VNX, XMC, DisplayPort, HDMI, and PCIe 4 and 5, with exposure to emerging PCIe 6, all within
safety-certifiable
aerospace and defence environments

You are deeply experienced in technical execution and lab-based problem solving, skilled in driving detailed signal and power integrity analysis, system bring-up, verification workflows, and structured engineering processes that support certifiable hardware. You collaborate naturally across electrical, mechanical, thermal, firmware, software, FPGA, and systems teams, and you thrive in environments that demand clarity, precision, and innovation. Your ability to elevate engineering maturity, strengthen technical direction, and solve sophisticated hardware challenges positions you to excel in this senior leadership role.
What You Bring
- Advanced Board-Level Knowledge:
Expertise with high-density, high-power, multi-layer PCB design for rugged aerospace and defence environments - FPGA and SoC Capability:
Strong background in FPGA architecture, VHDL or Verilog development, embedded logic, and device bring-up - High-Speed Digital Expertise:
Deep understanding of DDR3, DDR4, DDR5, and GDDR memory systems along with multi-gigabit transceivers - Interface and Protocol Mastery:
Proficiency with PCIe Gen 3 to Gen 6, Ethernet including 100G and PAM4, DisplayPort, HDMI, SATA, and LVDS - Signal and Power Integrity Skills:
Ability to perform SI and PI analysis, manage board stack-ups, conduct timing analysis, and mitigate EMI or EMC concerns - Aerospace and Defence Standards:
Familiarity with DO-254, DO-160, AS9100D, ITAR or EAR, and emerging SOSA or MOSA standards - Vendor and Silicon Experience:
Familiarity with platforms and components from NVIDIA, Mellanox, AMD, Xilinx, Samsung, Micron, Analog Devices, Broadcom, and Microchip - Verification and Debug Strength:
Hands-on experience with hardware validation, automated testing, root cause analysis, and system-level debugging - Simulation and Modelling Tools:
Proficiency with HyperLynx, Sigrity, FloTHERM, or similar digital and thermal modelling tools - Process-Driven Engineering:
Experience with structured engineering workflows including design reviews, configuration management, and traceable verification processes - Systems Integration Insight:
Strong understanding of interactions across electrical, mechanical, thermal, firmware, software, and FPGA components
