The Opportunity

We are looking for an Assistant General Manager at our Ladner location to help lead the team alongside the General Manager. The ideal person will have a sincere passion for hospitality and amazing service many years of experience in a and a deep passion of beer, wine, cocktails and food

What You'll Do:

  • Work with the GM to recruit, orient, train, and schedule shifts for new employees.
  • Oversee restaurant staff performance, ensuring quality hospitality
  • Empower staff to take initiative to drive sales and repeat business.
  • Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs.
  • Work the floor and converse with customers to ensure they are receiving a high level of service , hospitality and fun
  • Encourage customer feedback through different platforms
  • Establish urgency and initiative throughout the business.
  • Work with Chef /Sous chef to ensure proper food communication is distributed to FOH
  • Motivate employees to greater levels of productivity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience in restaurant management position and proven ability to manage and maintain the highest service an hospitality standards.
  • Decision-making skills, process improvement, strategic planning, verbal communication, customer focus, management proficiency, managing profitability, quality focus.
  • Strong knowledge of beer, wine and cocktails
  • Proven ability to grow the business, increase sales and drive traffic, all while improving the guest experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada to be considered.
