The Retail Business Manager will be responsible for driving small business sales through all retail channels (corporate, dealer, partner) within their territory. This role focuses on providing store support, regional program management, and building local small business sales networks. Influencing mindshare in both direct and indirect channels is the core of this role, so an ability to work well with different channels and understand competing objectives within the channel is a key component to success.
What You'll Be Doing
- Drive B2B sales growth through retail channels and build strong relationships with small business customers.
- Work directly with front-line staff and Regional Managers to ensure mindshare, competency, and support are available for our sales representatives.
- Liaise between head office and local teams to resolve pricing, marketing, and support issues.
- Communicate relevant information from head office to the front line and manage inquiries and escalations.
- Analyze sales reports to identify sales gaps and trends.
- Conduct sales planning sessions and execute tactical initiatives.
- Engage in store visits and communicate with head office to flag sales gaps.
- Work cross-functionally to achieve sales goals and provide onboarding support for new hires.
- Provide feedback on market offer performance and deliver sales coaching.
What You'll Bring
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably retail or B2B in the telecommunications industry.
- Account Executive experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Experience working with a sales quota and commission structure.
- Highly motivated sales professional with experience influencing indirect partners is a huge asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and handle changing priorities.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and/or weekends during critical sales periods.
This is a field position and will require you to travel 4 days with 1 day per week in office.
