Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic food service team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong time management skills, and experience in food preparation and service. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable restaurant experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and quality standards
  • Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and payment handling
  • Manage cash handling accurately during transactions
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service, including taking orders and upselling menu items
  • Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and dining areas
  • Assist with food plating, portioning, and presentation to meet quality expectations
  • Support team members during peak hours to ensure timely service delivery
  • Follow all health department regulations and company policies regarding food safety

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, measuring ingredients, and managing orders accurately
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting with good time management skills
  • Experience in upselling menu items to enhance guest experience is desirable

Pay: From $17.20 per hour
