The Benvenuto is recruiting for an experienced Heavy-Duty Cleaner (HDC) to join our team. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Heavy-Duty Cleaner who can uphold the high standards of cleanliness and care our residents expect. Since the position will be covering two separate locations (Avenue/Edmund & Mount Pleasant/Eglinton) daily, applicants will be required to have a vehicle.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Perform thorough and detailed cleaning in all common areas, lobbies, corridors, washrooms, stairwells, and other shared spaces
  • Ensure all surfaces, including floors, walls, windows, and fixtures are cleaned to a high standard
  • Manage waste collection and disposal, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness in all areas
  • Cleans grounds, dog area, and parking garage of litter, glass, and other debris
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure that cleanliness and maintenance standards are consistently met
  • May perform ground maintenance including the removal of snow from front entrances, salting front entrances
  • Assist in the moving of garbage bins and cleaning of the compactor room
  • Respond promptly to resident requests and address any cleaning concerns or issues with professionalism
  • Maintain an organized inventory of cleaning supplies, restocking as necessary and reporting shortages to management
  • Work with minimal supervision while ensuring all tasks are completed to the satisfaction of the residents and management
  • Performs related work as assigned in relation to the needs of the building functions and duties are subject to change upon management discretion.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar cleaning role, preferably in luxury residential
  • Strong attention to detail and an appreciation for maintaining high standards in a prestigious environment
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of professional cleaning techniques and equipment handling
  • Excellent communication skills and a respectful, professional demeanor
  • Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and rigorous cleaning tasks
  • Have the knowledge of the proper use of chemicals, occupational hazards, and safety rules and regulations
  • Have the ability to follow instructions
  • Must have experience driving a tractor
  • Hospitality experience is an asset
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
