Our award-winning client is seeking a Plant Controller to join their team. Our client, a trailblazer in the automotive sector, is seeking a dynamic Plant Controller to join their team in Brampton, Ontario. Reporting to the General Manager, this pivotal role involves overseeing the entire financial function of the plant.

Responsibilities:
Managing financials for the plant, encompassing AR, AP, capital assets, inter-company transactions, accruals, etc.
Generating financial reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Providing weekly forecasts and communicating any changes.
Offering continuous improvement ideas related to financial and production processes, collaborating with managers to identify inefficiencies and cost savings.
Monthly review and approval of journal entries, aging AR, and reconciliations.
Implementing and maintaining internal controls.
Preparing the plant's annual budget.
Assisting with internal and external audits.
Leading inventory counts and inventory valuation.
Required Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in accounting.
5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience working in an AS400 environment.
Leadership experience.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Excel.
Knowledge of Bill 198 internal control requirements.
Complimentary Experience:
CPA, CMA, or CA.
Experience in the automotive sector.
