Kindling Cannabis, Burlington is looking for a reliable and customer-focused on-call delivery driver to join our growing team This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible work opportunities, including independent contractors, gig workers, students, or anyone looking for a side hustle.

Job Overview

As a Delivery driver, you will be responsible for delivering orders safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with AGCO regulations. You will use your own vehicle and a smartphone application for navigation and tracking.

Availability Requirement

Flexible schedule between 9:30 AM and 11:00 PM

(No fixed shifts – work based on your availability)

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate your own reliable vehicle to deliver orders to customers.
  • Follow assigned delivery routes using Google Maps or Apple Maps.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and provide excellent service.
  • Accurately maintain delivery records and report any issues promptly.

Compensation (Independent Contractor Role)

This is not an hourly wage role; drivers are paid per delivery as follows:

  • $0.50 per kilometer traveled to the delivery location
  • $4.00 commission per successful completed delivery
  • 100% of customer tips

Example Pay Calculation:

If you drive 10 km for a delivery and receive a $3 tip, your total pay for that delivery would be:

  • 10 km x $0.50 = $5.00
  • Successful delivery commission = $4.00
  • Tip received = $3.00
  • Total earnings for this delivery = $12.00

  • Independent contractors
  • Uber, DoorDash, or SkipTheDishes drivers looking for additional earnings
  • Students, work permit holders, permanent residents, and Canadian citizens
  • Individuals living in Mississauga (preferred)

Requirements

  • Must have a valid CanSell certification before joining (can be obtained within 24 hours).
  • Own a reliable vehicle for deliveries.
  • Minimum age of 19 years (as per AGCO regulations).
  • At least 1 year of Canadian driving experience.
  • Valid G or G2 driver's license.
  • Own an Android or iOS smartphone with data for delivery tracking and communication.
  • Comfortable using GPS applications like Google Maps or Apple Maps.
  • Available for immediate start.

Job Type & Expected Hours

  • Part-time, Casual, Seasonal, Freelance
  • Flexible hours, up to 40 hours per week (on-call basis)

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • 1 year of delivery driving experience (required)

License/Certification

  • Class G License (preferred)
  • CanSell Certification (Mandatory)

Work Location: In-person, deliveries based out of Burlington
