Position Summary

At Shawarma Royale, our team members are the heart of our restaurant. They greet and serve guests with warmth, prepare our signature shawarma dishes to perfection, and ensure every guest enjoys a clean, welcoming, and efficient experience. Team members are cross-trained to handle all aspects of the restaurant — from food prep and cashiering to maintaining cleanliness and upholding brand standards.

Responsibilities

  • Greet every guest with a friendly and professional attitude, providing an exceptional dining experience.
  • Prepare shawarma, wraps, platters, and other menu items accurately and efficiently according to Shawarma Royale recipes and portioning standards.
  • Operate the POS system to process customer orders and payments quickly and accurately.
  • Maintain food quality, freshness, and presentation at all times.
  • Adhere to all food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures.
  • Stock and replenish food and supplies during and between shifts.
  • Keep kitchen, service, and dining areas clean, organized, and inspection-ready at all times.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as assigned, which may include cash handling and securing the premises.
  • Follow all company procedures and quality standards as per the operations manual and shift leader guidance.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members and management regarding daily operations, inventory, or customer concerns.
  • Represent the Shawarma Royale brand by maintaining a positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong work ethic.
  • Assist with customer issues tactfully and escalate any unresolved matters to the shift leader or manager.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, training sessions, and store communications (via WhatsApp or other platforms).

Prerequisites

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience and Skills:

  • Previous restaurant, customer service, or food handling experience is an asset but not required — training provided.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Technology:

  • Comfortable using POS systems and basic mobile or web-based tools for scheduling or training.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift 10–30 pounds occasionally.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
