Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Churchill Physiotherapy Clinic Inc. Full time

PTA VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY ONLY

We are a busy multidisciplinary clinic in west Mississauga. We offer physiotherapy services, Massage therapy, acupuncture, and custom made orthotics.

We are looking for friendly and motivated VOLUNTEERS who have an interest in gaining some hands on experience in order to further their careers or prepare for a position of a Registered Physiotherapist.

At Churchill Physiotherapy, volunteers work alongside the Physiotherapists, PTAs, and clinical director to gain meaningful exposure to a collaborative health-care environment. This role offers valuable insight into patient care within a fast-paced clinic. Volunteers may be involved in tasks such as assisting with patient exercise programs, observing treatments, assisting and applying various modalities, and helping maintain a clean and organized workspace.

This position provides support to both clinical and administrative teams, contributing to the smooth operation of the clinic. Volunteers will also have the chance to observe various practitioners and learn from professionals in the field.

No prior experience in a clinical setting is necessary, as orientation and training will be provided. Applicants must, however, be enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Kinesiology or a related discipline or have a medical/physiotherapy background.. Foundational knowledge in anatomy, biomechanics, or training principles is essential. Individuals still in high school or not yet pursuing post-secondary studies are not eligible.

Volunteers are expected to offer 6–10 hours per week and commit to at least three months in the program.

For foreign trained Physiotherapists, there will be an opportunity to join our team once they obtain their licence and registration number from the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario..
