Support the Numbers That Drive the Business

As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the monthly close and ongoing financial operations for our internal corporate departments, including Payroll and Supply Chain. You'll be responsible for journal entries, reconciliations, forecasting support, and sales tax filings, while working closely with stakeholders to deliver timely and accurate financial insights. Led by the Assistant Controller, this opportunity suits a collaborative, detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys balancing hands-on accounting with analytical problem-solving.

Ready to make an impact in a new role? Here's how:

  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for wages, accounts receivable, accrued liabilities, revenues, expenses and others as needed.
  • Collaborate with corporate department stakeholders to provide financial and analytical assistance with budgets and monthly reporting.
  • Assist in preparing monthly provincial sales tax remittances and filings, as required.
  • Identify, assess and communicate issues or opportunities affecting profitability and/or overall efficiencies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend changes that will improve the company's financial performance. Comply with all internal controls and other relevant accounting standards and policies.
  • Additional ad hoc projects as assigned by Management team.

We're looking for:

  • College Diploma Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Three years' experience in a finance-focused role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts; retail accounting experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including exceptional skills with Excel and other analytical tools. Knowledge of Oracle or related large ERP system an asset.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence decisions to profitably drive the business.
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to handle confidentiality.
  • Strong organization and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities with ease, while continuing to meet deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables.
  • The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.

    $68,400 - $89,800
    ; the final offer will reflect relevant skills and experience.
