Position Overview

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a fast-paced retail and warehouse environment where sales directly support affordable housing in our community. The ReStore Associate is a hands-on role responsible for customer service, retail operations, donation handling, and warehouse organization.

This position is best suited to someone who is physically capable, dependable, and comfortable working in both customer-facing and back-of-house environments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist customers on the sales floor and during donation drop-offs
  • Merchandise and maintain retail displays
  • Receive, sort, and stage donated goods
  • Organize warehouse space and assist with inventory flow
  • Operate point-of-sale system and process transactions accurately
  • Safely lift, move, and load furniture and building materials
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Complete other duties as required to support store operations

Schedule & Availability

  • Store hours: Monday–Saturday, 9:00 am–7:00 pm
  • Closed Sundays and statutory holidays
  • Shifts scheduled within operating hours
  • Evening and Saturday availability required

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Criminal record check required
  • WHMIS certification required (training may be provided)
  • Previous retail, warehouse, or customer service experience preferred

  • Wage: $18.00 per hour
  • Permanent part-time position
  • 3-month probationary period
