What You'll Do
  • Lead geotechnical engineering for mining projects, including pit slope stability, tailings storage, and underground support design.
  • Conduct subsurface investigations and hazard assessments tailored to mining environments.
  • Provide technical leadership and ensure compliance with mining regulations and industry codes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable mining solutions.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources for operational excellence.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Partner with clients to expand geotechnical services in mining.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering (geotechnical focus).
  • 12+ years of geotechnical engineering experience in mining projects.
  • Professional Engineering license in BC.
  • Expertise in mining geotechnical practices, including slope stability, tailings design, and underground support.
  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical design software and modeling tools.
  • Proven ability to manage complex mining projects and coordinate with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
  • Flexibility to travel to mining sites across BC and Canada.
