Key Responsibilities


• Champion and exemplify exceptional customer service and satisfaction through consistent application of store processes and standards

• Manage all day to day aspects of the Meat department, including: ordering, meat cutting, merchandising, customer service and labour scheduling

• Consistently ensure service counters 'wow' the customer; execute standards to offer an exceptionally presentable department with a reputation for freshness and quality

• Train, coach and motivate employees to maintain a strong sense of productivity and engagement

• Execute department programs through effective merchandising techniques, suggestive selling and attractive displays as well as ongoing maintenance and execution of planograms

• Monitor financial objectives and ensure that budgets are met through efficient operation of the department, keeping an eye on gross profit, labour productivity, operational expenses, inventory control, net contribution and shrink targets

• Maintain the highest levels of sanitation and cleanliness, ensure all safe food-handling practices are adhered to at all times

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements


• Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in meat cutting

• Past supervisory experience

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Exceptional customer service skills with a talent for building leadership and customer loyalty

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

• Able to lift up to 80 lbs

• Systems skills (SAP and P.C. applications)

• Able to work well under pressure and tight deadlines

• Able to work all shifts including evenings and weekends
