Summer 2026 Work Term

Term Length: 4 months

Term Start: May 4, 2026

Term End: August 21, 2026

The pay range for the co-op student role will reflect factors such as the candidate's experience, academic level, and the specific skillset required for the role.

Loblaw has adopted the following hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues can work remotely up to 1 day a week, while spending the other 4 days in the office (to be determined by each business unit).

Role mandate:

The Scientific Affairs Student will contribute to nutrition and health initiatives through project-based research. This role offers a unique opportunity for an individual passionate about nutrition and health to gain practical experience, contribute to meaningful projects within Loblaw Brands, and gain exposure to regulatory affairs and product development within the food retail industry.

Accountabilities:

• Support the Dietitian Manager to develop and execute a strategic project focused on nutrition and health, providing support on additional projects as required
• Conduct competitive product reviews, identifying key opportunities within a defined focus area
• Develop evidence-based nutritional guardrails and conduct a thorough evaluation of the current product portfolio against these standards
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across Loblaw Brands to gather, synthesize, and analyze relevant data
• Deliver regular progress updates

Skills, knowledge and education:

• Highly organized, able to prioritize effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong time management skills and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
• Strong work ethic with a passion for detail and accuracy
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Enrolled in or completed a post-secondary nutrition program
