Mission Without Borders Canada,
a Christian registered charity, is seeking a passionate and results-driven Fundraising Development Specialist to join our team in Southwestern Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in relational fundraising - driving revenue growth through innovative fundraising strategies and donor engagement utilizing multiple channels including digital, peer-to-peer, and corporate channels.

This is a remote contract position with the expectation to be able to travel & meet in Cambridge at least three times per month. Compensation range $65,000 - $85,000 based on demonstrated experience and performance.

The role has the possibility of moving to permanent full-time based on reaching performance goals. This role reports at a distance to the National Director located in Ontario. It is for a suitably skilled person able to work quickly and efficiently with minimum supervision, balanced with excellent fundraising, networking, and people skills. Our main purpose in Canada is to attract new financial supporters and build networks and active leads to support our work in the field both financially and prayerfully.

Overall role: To develop and execute fundraising tactics to identify opportunities and increase the acquisition of revenue through new supporters and organizations while building relationships with our existing network of supporters.

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Growth
: Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans focused on increasing revenue by attracting new donors.

Donor Relations
: Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, ensuring effective communication and stewardship.

·
Event Planning
: Organize and manage fundraising events to engage donors and maximize participation and contributions through peer-to-peer activities.

·
Campaign Management
: Oversee specific fundraising campaigns, including annual giving, capital campaigns, and special projects.

·
Data Analysis
: Utilize CRM software to track donor information, manage contributions, and analyze fundraising data to inform strategies.

·
Marketing and Communications
: Coordinate with marketing teams to promote fundraising initiatives through various channels.

Qualifications:

Experience
: Minimum of 3 years in fundraising or development roles, with documented and demonstratable success of revenue growth.

Skills
: Strong written and oral communication and storytelling skills coupled with organizational, problem solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in CRM software and digital marketing tools.

The preferred candidate will have hands-on experience utilizing:

  • Salesforce CRM
  • Web CMS tools
  • eMail management and communication journey tools (Campaign Monitor experience preferred)
  • META Engagement and Advertising tools
  • Google Advertising Management
  • Social Media Engagement tools
  • Foundation grant and funding application skills

Education
: Certification in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit fundraising or a related field with demonstrable skills.

: Self-motivated, creative, detail-orientated, with the ability to work with minimal supervision and passionate about the mission of Mission Without Borders.

This role is an outward focused, fundraising role rather than a purely desk-bound role, with plenty of face to face and telephone contact expected. Performance objectives will be set and measured on a regular basis.

Specific areas of work include:

  • Executing fundraising tactics supporting the organization's growth strategy utilizing multiple channels to attract new private cash revenue, including peer-to-peer running, walking, and cycling events.

  • Creating and cultivating relationships with new and existing foundations, organizations, donors, with a view to presenting specific program project needs and tailored asks to secure financial gifts.

  • Direct follow up through in-person visits and events to raise awareness and the need for resources. This includes presenting to groups, organizations, and churches.

  • Assist with the development, execution of donor engagement tactics including donor engagement journey communications and fundraising events utilizing off-line and digital toolsets.

  • Analysis of prospect and supporter engagement and revenue growth.

  • Regular reporting on the effectiveness of fundraising activities.
