Position Summary

Figaro's Garden is seeking a Full-time Landscaping Team Member to assist with residential garden maintenance, small-scale installations, and seasonal projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors in all seasons, has a strong attention to detail, and values high-quality workmanship; someone who is passionate about thoughtful, environmentally responsible gardening. Working closely with a small team of 3, we design, create and maintain gardens that support local ecosystems and reflect strong horticultural design principles. What You'll Do

· Maintain and refine residential gardens using organic horticulture practices

· Plant zone-appropriate perennials, shrubs, and small trees in ground and patio planters

· Work with clients to support their small, design-driven installations and garden refreshes

· Build healthy soils through composting, mulching, and careful cultivation

· Use hand tools and small cordless equipment with precision and care

· Ensure clean, professional job sites and positive client interactions

· Occasional hardscape installations using flagstone, pavers and gravel

What You Bring

· Experience, or equivalent schooling, in landscaping or garden maintenance (minimum 1 year, 2 or more years preferred)

· Interest in ecological gardening and thoughtful plant design

· Ability to work outdoors March – November

· Attention to detail, reliability, and a collaborative mindset

· Valid driver's licence is essential as is comfort driving company 1-ton pickup

· Ability to work independently and with a small team

· Capable of lifting 40-50 lbs of materials and supplies and perform physically demanding tasks

Hours/Wage

Full time – 32-40 hrs /week, Monday - Friday; hourly wage $26-30/hr, depending on experience; extended health benefits included. The Landscape Team is not operational from mid-November to mid-March; seasonal EI benefits are available during this period.

**Note: Position begins March 2 or 9, depending on weather conditions.
