Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Yard Manager to oversee operations at our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to manage a variety of tasks related to yard maintenance and project execution. This role requires hands-on experience in various trades, including carpentry, and heavy equipment operation. The Yard Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily yard operations and manage staff to ensure productivity and safety.
  • Load trucks, concrete forms, accessories etc.
  • organize pre fabricated formwork.
  • Utilize heavy equipment for various yard activities while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Read blueprints and schematics to plan project execution effectively.
  • Perform carpentry work as needed.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the yard to ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Train staff on proper use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction or a related field with mechanical knowledge.
  • concrete forming, and finishing techniques.
  • pre fab of gang panels etc.
  • Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment safely.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics for project planning.
  • Strong skills in carpentry/formwork.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with yard management.
