Join Tutor Teach's Team

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic Tutor to support students in Grades k-12, as they build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and reach their academic potential. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and pre-teens, communicates clearly, and believes in meeting students where they are through personalized, supportive instruction.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful, long-term impact on students' learning by providing consistent, individualized support across a range of subjects.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions tailored to each student's learning needs
  • Plan and implement engaging lessons and learning activities aligned with curriculum goals
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
  • Create a positive, encouraging learning environment that builds confidence and motivation
  • Communicate regularly with parents and, when appropriate, teachers or internal staff regarding progress and areas for growth
  • Maintain clear records of sessions, goals, and student progress
  • Support students in developing effective study habits, organization skills, and academic strategies

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing or having completed post-secondary education (B.Ed, B.A., B.Sc, B.Comm, B.Kin, or related fields)
  • Experience tutoring or teaching children or adolescents (Grades k-12 preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently
  • Experience in classroom or educational settings is an asset
  • A genuine passion for education and helping students succeed
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to support diverse learning styles and needs
  • Reliable, professional, and approachable demeanour
  • Subject-area strength or relevant educational background is a plus
