We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments in a hotel environment. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

• Clean hotel linens and towels using appropriate washing techniques and chemicals.
• Operate commercial washing machines and dryers safely and effectively.
• Sort, fold, and organize clean laundry for distribution throughout the hotel.
• Sort, organize, keep track of dirty linens in the hotel chute room.
• Inspect items for stains or damages before treating and report any issues to management.
• Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area.
• Ensure that all laundry equipment is functioning properly and report any maintenance needs.
• Adhere to safety protocols while handling chemicals and operating machinery.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role within a hotel setting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate commercial laundry machines and equipment effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and quality.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
