Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Electrical Technicians with strong backgrounds in motor control, PLC control wiring, and process facility installations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who understands the demands of industrial environments and can deliver reliable, code-compliant installations from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and commission motor control systems (VFDs, soft starts, contactors, MCCs)
- Perform PLC panel wiring, field instrumentation wiring, and control system integration
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, loop diagrams, and P&IDs
- Execute installations in processing and manufacturing facilities (food, water, automation, etc.)
- Perform cable terminations, tray installations, conduit work, and instrumentation hookups
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and commissioning teams
- Maintain safety standards and work in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)
Qualifications
- Red Seal Electrician or relevant Industrial/Instrumentation Technician experience
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in industrial or processing facilities
- Proven skills in:
- Motor control circuits & MCC layouts
- PLC wiring & automation hardware
- Control panels and field device terminations
- VFDs, relay logic & instrumentation
- Ability to read and interpret detailed electrical drawings
- Strong troubleshooting and commissioning abilities
- Valid driver's license; ability to travel to client sites as required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
