What we offer

As the Architecture Production Lead, you will assist in providing architectural services to the company while striving to provide The Best Homeowner Experience. This involves leading the drafting team by providing mentorship, training and development and managing production output. You will be leading the Production drafters responsible for creating lot specifics plans for production and interacting with different areas of the business such as Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Design Studio, and/or Construction to assess needs and provide any documentation.

What you'll do

  • Lead and coach architectural technologists, including annual performance reviews and development planning.
  • Provide training for new team members to ensure alignment with Mattamy & Industry standards.
  • Draft lot specific drawing packages including working drawings and plot plans independently with efficiency and accuracy as needed.
  • Manage production scheduling, reporting and attending meetings related to production.
  • Assist in the peer check process, reviewing work and lot specific drawing packages as needed.
  • Assist Architecture Project Managers in management of the master plan library for any efficiencies and/or code changes as required.
  • Attend & conduct regular team site visits to provide training opportunities.
  • Liaise with various internal & external partners to ensure efficiencies with drafting process of lot specific homes.

What you bring

  • Have a strong understanding of construction practices, structure, building science, Calgary and Edmonton by-laws and national building code. An understanding of surrounding areas of Calgary and Edmonton an asset.
  • Experience with leading, training and developing a team
  • Works well in a team environment and is independently self-driven.
  • Brings a positive attitude and helps cultivate a supportive and positive team culture.
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize different projects to ensure production timelines are met
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Experience in Revit an asset
