Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Mechanic / HD mechanic to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in automotive repair and maintenance. As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will work closely with experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience while learning the fundamentals of vehicle repair and service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues under the guidance of senior mechanics
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
  • Help with the disassembly and reassembly of vehicle components
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working on vehicles
  • Document repairs and services performed accurately in the shop's system
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and skills
  • Diagnose mechanical failures / identify parts
  • lift 50lbs comfortably physically fit willing to work indoors and out doors in all weather

Experience

  • A strong interest in automotive mechanics or prior experience in a related field is preferred but not required
  • Basic understanding of automotive systems is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues
  • Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on industry trends
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with heavy duty machines / trucks
