Our client is hiring an Estimating Coordinator to join their growing team.
The Estimating Coordinator is an effective relationship builder, communicator and team player. This person will engage directly with clients, trades and internal staff and will report to the Senior Manager of Estimating. They are responsible for a variety of tasks to support the success of the entire estimating, business development and preconstruction team which includes support of pursuits for Stipulated Price, Design Build and Construction Management opportunities.    
As a team player, the Estimating Coordinator will collaborate across multiple teams to support other areas of the business as required. They will coordinate and support the bid solicitation process which includes but is not limited to; monitoring of business development opportunities, assisting in the preparation of proposal and introduction packages to clients and prospects, issuance of RFQ's to subcontractors, ensuring adequate coverage is achieved across all disciplines, coordination and facilitation of responses to RFSQ's, managing the bid surety requirements for all pursuits, supporting the estimating and pre-construction department in daily administrative tasks in keeping with a team first mentality. This position will be based from our Cambridge office, but may require travel to project locations to facilitate the deliverables associated with the position for internal and external responsibilities.   Responsibilities include:    ➢ Assisting business development with sourcing and organizing all project opportunities ➢ Review all bid opportunities across all solicitation sites and complete go/no go analysis for review by management ➢ Responsible for the organization and maintenance of the estimating calendar for all ongoing and upcoming pursuits including maintenance of the pursuit pipeline ➢ Issue RFQ's to subcontractors and suppliers and ensure proper trade coverage ahead of tender closings and budget presentations.  This involves making phone calls, following up on emails and managing our bid site platform ➢ Responsible for the assembly of target specific corporate materials and overall package preparation in pursuit of new customer acquisition. ➢ Monitor all incoming clarifications, addenda and drawing updates and issue to all parties as required ➢ Keep accurate records of previous projects and bids for historical analysis of win loss ratios, trade submission frequency, market success on other KPI factors. ➢ Assist the estimating and preconstruction team in the preparation of detailed responses to RFPs, RFT's and RFSQ's in coordination with the Senior Manager of Estimating and Preconstruction Team. ➢ Responsible for updating and maintaining proposal templates and marketing materials.  ➢ Seek out and qualify new subcontractors and maintain the company wide bidders list ➢ Establish and foster relationships with trade partners, consultants and owners
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
➢ 5 +years experience working in the construction or real estate industry ➢ Excellent communication skills, oral and written ➢ Confident and able to contribute to stakeholder relations as required ➢ Strong knowledge base across all construction disciplines ➢ Must be able to read and understand construction documents ➢ Self motivated with an excellent sense of managing priorities ➢ Superior organizational skills ➢ Experience in administering requirements for project insurances and bonding ➢ General understanding of CCDC/CCA documents ➢ Proficient with Excel , Microsoft Office Suite,  MS Project, BlueBeam, Building Connected ➢ Relevant diploma / degree would be an asset, but not mandatory ➢ Hands on experience in estimating in building construction is an asset ➢ Positive, outgoing personality is preferred ➢ Industry experience would be an asset: Food Processing, Industrial, Institutional, multi-unit residential, healthcare and commercial
