Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Metal Polisher to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal finishing processes and will be responsible for polishing and finishing metal components to meet quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with various tools and machinery.

Duties

  • Perform polishing and finishing of metal parts using hand tools and power tools.
  • Operate CNC machines, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and plasma cutting equipment.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Read blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
  • Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Assist in the fabrication of metal components using techniques such as welding, stamping, and electrical discharge machining.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and other manufacturing processes as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in metal polishing or a related manufacturing role.
  • Familiarity with various machining processes including CNC programming, GD&T, and mechanical assembly.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
  • Experience operating forklifts, cranes, or other material handling equipment is a plus.
