Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Food Preparation Worker to join our team in a dynamic food service environment. This role involves assisting with meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, experience in restaurant settings, and a strong commitment to providing excellent food service. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the food industry.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and assist with cooking and assembling meals according to established recipes and standards
  • Handle food safely and maintain proper hygiene practices during all stages of food preparation
  • Assist in plating and presentation of dishes to ensure visual appeal
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with health regulations
  • Support serving staff by preparing items for delivery or service areas
  • Follow all food safety protocols and ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers
  • Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food preparation, restaurant, or food service environments is preferred
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food handling procedures
  • Familiarity with kitchen safety standards and food safety regulations
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to the food industry

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
