We are looking for a junior to mid-level Home Designer to join our team. Working collaboratively with team members and external partners, you will design new projects while developing strong relationships with clients. The role is ideal for a designer with a solid foundation in residential design and Revit, who is ready to take on increased responsibility in a fast-paced, design-build environment. 

Key Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the project management team to design and develop custom home and renovation projects. 

  • Participate in client meetings to understand design requirements, preferences, and functional needs. 

  • Support the sales team through concept development, presentations, and advocating for the merits of design concepts to prospective clients.

  • Ensure all detailed drawings and any supplementary drawings are produced according to the design drawing release schedule.

  • Render conceptual design ideas and prepare 2D and 3D presentation and design drawings.

  • Ensure all required selections are completed in accordance with the selections schedule.

  • Obtain all supplementary vendor design details and specifications.

  • Provide on-site support when required.

  • Ensure all scope changes in package drawings are completed with revised site instructions.

  • Maintain and ensure drawing folders are complete, including site instructions.

  • Prepare quote drawings and proposal packages.

  • Coordinate with external designers and ensure their elements are incorporated into the design.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architectural Design or equivalent

  • 2-4 years of experience as a Designer in an architectural, interior design, or residential design-build environment 

  • Working knowledge of Revit (residential experience)

  • Demonstrated passion for customer service with highly developed personal interaction skills

  • Professional design credentials (NCIDQ, ARIDO, BCIN) are considered an asset but not mandatory
