Job Summary

Location: Centre Videotron, Quebec City

Now, if you were to come on board as an Assistant Controller we'd ask you to do the following for us:

  • Be the primary contact for accounting aspects and contracts, including vendor setups, unit setups, revenue coordination, and ad hoc queries.
  • Conduct monthly financial closes, including reconciliation of revenue and balance sheet accounts, variance analysis of actuals to budget, revenue accruals, deferred revenue amortization, and calculation of client-earned rebates.
  • Participate in budget assistance and monthly forecasting.
  • Manage accounts receivable collections for problematic accounts.
  • Assist with external audit requests and key financial control requirements.

Think you have what it takes to be our Assistant Controller? We're committed to hiring the best talent for the role. Here's how we'll know you will be successful:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an accounting/finance role – either in public accounting or similar industry.
  • University/college education in business/accounting required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French.
  • Self-motivated with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Thrive under pressure with multiple concurrent deadlines.
