We are seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive floral design expertise, strong customer service skills, and a comprehensive understanding of retail operations. A background in horticulture, landscape maintenance, and gardening is highly valued, along with proficiency in POS systems and e-commerce platforms. The Senior Florist will play a key role in maintaining the aesthetic appeal of our store while ensuring a seamless shopping experience for all visitors.

Responsibilities

• Designing and creating custom floral arrangements for various occasions, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and artistic expression
• Managing floral inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels
• Assisting customers with product selection, providing expert advice on floral care, horticulture, and landscape maintenance
• Operating POS systems for sales transactions, cash handling, and processing payments accurately
• Merchandising floral displays to attract customers and promote seasonal themes or special promotions
• Overseeing the organization of the store's floral section to ensure cleanliness, safety, and visual appeal
• Supporting e-commerce sales through online platforms by updating product listings and managing order fulfillment
• Providing exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally
• Training junior staff on floral design techniques, merchandising standards, and customer engagement strategies
• Collaborating with the team to develop new product offerings and improve overall store performance

Experience

• Proven experience as a Florist or Floral Designer with a strong portfolio of floral arrangements
• Knowledge of horticulture principles, gardening practices, and landscape maintenance techniques
• Experience working with POS systems, cash handling, retail sales, and cashiering processes
• Familiarity with merchandising strategies and e-commerce platforms related to floral retailing
• Multilingual skills are a plus to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Strong communication skills to engage customers confidently and work collaboratively within a team
• Previous experience in customer service roles within retail or floral environments is preferred
