About the role

We are looking for a Senior Subrogation Adjuster - Multiline to join our team in the West 

Join us and contribute to an innovative and dedicated team committed to excellence in claims management

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct investigations into large and complex losses within auto and property, striving for prompt and equitable recoveries that align with our corporate policies and standards.

  • Formulate strategic action plans for investigations by identifying necessary contacts, evaluating collection feasibility, and determining potential legal actions.

  • Gather and analyze claim details by collecting reports and statements from customers, witnesses, and other pertinent parties or experts to assess damage, liability, and recovery opportunities.

  • Engage in negotiations with third parties, legal representatives, and insurers to settle claims effectively.

  • Utilize litigation to effectively oversee the litigation portion of collections files.

  • Attend court proceedings or hearings as needed, providing essential information on claims.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both external and internal clients.

  • Respond to inquiries regarding investigations and claims processes.

  • Maintain robust communication channels with claims departments and collaborate with adjusters, experts, management, and other claims representatives on technical and administrative matters.

  • Cultivate productive relationships with service providers, monitoring their performance to ensure adherence to professional and corporate standards.

  • Identify areas for process improvement and suggest policy or procedural changes to maintain quality service and competitive edge.

  • Mentor, guide, and provide technical advice to regional file handlers to ensure consistent and effective claims handling and support long term succession planning.

  • Execute additional duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

  • A university degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience relevant to the role.

  • At least 5 years of experience in handling property, auto, casualty, and/or subrogation claims.

  • A high level of knowledge of the litigation process; experience in collections is an asset.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Completion or pursuit of a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is an asset.
