Company Overview
We are a licensed cannabis cultivation and agri-tech operation located in the Carleton Place region. Our facility is designed for high-quality, consistent, small-batch production supported by advanced HVAC, fertigation, and environmental control systems. We are seeking an Experienced Master Grower to lead all aspects of cultivation, plant health, team training, and regulatory compliance as we scale our production.
Position Summary
The Master Grower is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of cannabis cultivation—from propagation to harvest—while ensuring optimal yields, quality standards, and strict adherence to Health Canada regulations. This role requires deep horticultural expertise, leadership skills, operational discipline, and hands-on experience in a licensed Canadian facility.
Key ResponsibilitiesCultivation & Production
- Lead all cultivation activities: cloning/propagation, veg, flower, IPM, nutrient management, defoliation strategies, and harvest planning.
- Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent results and product quality.
- Optimize grow-room environments using HVAC, lighting, irrigation, CO₂, and fertigation systems.
- Implement data-driven crop steering and monitor metrics (EC, pH, VPD, humidity, temperature, runoff, etc.).
- Maintain high success rates for cloning, flowering, and final yield KPIs.
Plant Health & Quality
- Monitor plant health daily, identifying pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, or environmental risks.
- Manage and oversee Integrated Pest Management (IPM) protocols using Health Canada–approved products.
- Ensure compliance with all microbial and quality testing requirements.
- Work closely with QA to ensure consistency, traceability, and meticulous record-keeping.
Regulatory & Compliance
- Maintain strict adherence to Cannabis Act regulations and GMP-style practices.
- Oversee all documentation related to plant tracking (seed-to-sale), sanitation logs, and deviation reports.
- Participate in audits and lead corrective actions where needed.
Facility & Equipment Management
- Work with maintenance/HVAC teams to ensure equipment reliability and optimal climate control.
- Help troubleshoot mechanical, irrigation, lighting, or fertigation issues.
- Contribute to facility planning, layout optimization, and scaling initiatives.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on cannabis cultivation experience in a Health Canada–licensed facility.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, plant pathology, nutrient management, and crop-steering techniques.
- Proficiency with environmental control systems and fertigation technologies.
- Strong understanding of Health Canada regulations, record-keeping requirements, and cannabis compliance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with high attention to detail.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
