About the role

My client is a digital advertising consulting firm that helps companies turn demand into real, measurable growth. They work fast, think strategically, and stay close to performance.

They are hiring a Senior Paid Search Strategist to take real ownership of paid search across multiple accounts. This role is hands-on and strategic by design. You will shape the direction, build the plans, and be in the platforms making it happen.

What you'll do

Lead the strategy

  • Set the paid search strategy across accounts, grounded in client goals, growth targets, and market realities
  • Translate business objectives into clear, scalable paid search plans that actually perform
  • Act as the go-to expert on paid search within the team, bringing perspective on trends, platform changes, and best practices
  • Continuously raise the standard for how paid search is planned, run, and evaluated

Own execution end to end

  • Build, manage, and optimize paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads
  • Own account structure, keyword strategy, audiences, bidding, and creative testing
  • Stay close to performance daily. This is not a hands-off role
  • Ensure paid search works cleanly alongside other digital channels

Drive performance with data

  • Dig into performance data to understand what's working, what's not, and why
  • Use analytics and platform reporting to evaluate performance across the funnel
  • Turn insights into clear actions, not vague recommendations

Manage budgets with intent

  • Own client budgets and make smart decisions about where spend goes
  • Monitor pacing and performance closely and adjust quickly when needed
  • Balance efficiency, scale, and risk

Partner with clients and teams

  • Work closely with account management, analytics, and creative teams to stay aligned
  • Join client conversations as a trusted advisor who understands both strategy and execution
  • Clearly explain performance, insights, and next steps in a way clients actually understand

Test, learn, and improve

  • Run structured A/B tests across ads, landing pages, audiences, and bidding strategies
  • Stay on top of platform changes and new opportunities, then pressure-test them before rolling out
  • Constantly refine how testing and learning happens across accounts

What you bring

  • 6+ years of hands-on paid search experience with clear ownership of results
  • Deep expertise in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads
  • A strong balance of strategic thinking and in-platform execution
  • Confidence working directly in platforms, spreadsheets, and analytics tools
  • Strong analytical instincts and a practical mindset
  • Clear communicator who can lead conversations with clients and internal teams
  • Google Ads, GA4, GTM, Campaign Manager, or similar certifications are a plus
  • Programmatic advertising experience is a bonus, not a requirement
