Position Summary We are currently seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician to join our skilled team. In this role, you'll perform structural and cosmetic repairs to damaged vehicles, using a range of tools, equipment, and repair techniques. You'll collaborate with the paint department and support team members in delivering high-quality, safe, and efficient repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and replace front-end components, body panels, doors, frames, and underbody parts per manufacturer specifications.
- Hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers.
- Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.
- Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grilles using hand tools or cutting torches; bolt or weld replacement parts in place.
- Straighten bent frames with frame and underbody pulling/anchoring systems.
- File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools.
- Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for paint.
- Repair or replace interior parts including seat frames, carpets, and insulation.
- Install aftermarket or added-on equipment as needed.
- Perform first, second, and third-line repairs or modifications.
- Monitor and report on parts usage; assist with ordering parts and supplies.
- Accurately complete work orders, documentation, and timecards.
- Ensure repairs meet performance, quality, and safety standards to reduce rework and warranty claims.
- Stay current on vehicle repair trends, tools, and technology.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Other related duties as assigned.
What You Bring
- Journeyman or apprentice experience as an Auto Body Technician (Red Seal or Journeyperson certification preferred).
- Strong knowledge of vehicle structures, collision repair, and refinishing techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret estimates, repair orders, and OEM procedures.
- Proficient with welding, frame equipment, hand and power tools.
- Solid communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
- A valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
Working Conditions
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual work in various positions.
- Exposure to noise, paint, dust, and automotive chemicals.
- Use of safety equipment is required (e.g. steel-toed boots, safety glasses).
- Occasional overtime may be required.

Pay: $20.54-$33.03 per hour
